Defensive end Randy Gregory intends to sign with the Denver Broncos, instead of his prior team the Dallas Cowboys, according to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson. It was reported earlier Tuesday that Gregory was signing a five-year, $70 million extension with the Cowboys, but that deal fell apart when the Cowboys included language in the contract that Gregory didn't like.
Gregory, 29, has had several issues over the past few years. In 2021, this problem was an injury. He missed four games with a calf strain but still had a career-high 11 starts and finished the season with 19 tackles, six sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He reportedly underwent knee surgery in January to correct a problem that has bothered him all season but cost him no playing time.
